Contests are a big deal, and they are very prestigious. In addition to competitions on the national level, Stand Up and Speak hosts contests for competitive students. The style of the contest varies, but every contest challenges the students with prepared or impromptu speeches. We are excited to bring the competition aspect of Public Speaking to our app.
We offer a wide range of options through the app. You can submit a video and have it graded by our state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI). Want it graded by an actual public speaking coach? Our coaches can do that, too, at a reasonable cost. We offer online classes, and we offer both live and video contests where our users have a chance to win real prizes.

Stand Up and Speak is a passion project that has been ongoing for over 20 years. Each program is created around the spoken word and is taught by Ontario Certified Teachers and Motivational Coaches to promote and develop the soft skills required to combat the number one fear in North America: Public Speaking.

While we do not doubt that your student is exceptional, on our app, we group by age. The most significant way for the students to learn is by their peers. Each student is challenged to be the best they can be. Your student will only be able to take classes and compete in their specific age group.
We do a great job in our classrooms to provide a safe and comfortable environment to build confidence. Some students may take longer to come out of their shells, but with encouraging and inspiring teachers and lessons, students find the courage to stand up and speak while having fun.
Yes! All speech evaluations under 2 minutes are free. Any speech over 2 minutes that you want to be evaluated does have a cost. We do offer evaluations for longer presentations and for the cost, please email us at app@standupandspeak.com
While we wish it was a perfect system, there are times where our AI might not identify a certain aspect of our grading system. At that time, you will be asked if you want your speech sent in for a paid evaluation by someone at Stand Up and Speak.
Stand Up and Speak isn't just for students but also for adults. We offer classes where you can work on an upcoming presentation, interview preparation, or even put together a Ted Talk. Also, we have adult contests where you can sharpen up your skills and compete for prizes.
